126 BURKINA FASO Liaison Sakoinse - Boromo (RN1) 2013 - 2015 Road works between No. 01 and Sakoinsé Boromo, Burkina Faso The 122 km stretch of highway between Sakoinsé and Boromo is part of the route linking Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, with the country’s second largest city Bobo- Dioulasso. This also represents one of the key corridors linking the country to other states of the West African Economic and Monetary Union. The engineering quality of the route is extremely important given that these are land-locked countries. Also, the road is of national importance, running next to 22 villages.
